Trackdays 2012
For many years, the society has operated the Hove Park Railway for the public on the last Saturday of the month and also the Saturdays and Mondays of the various bank holiday weekends from March through to October. As you will know, most of our bank holidays occur during the early part of the season which means that the railway operates on a large number of days until the end of May and then generally only once per month after that (apart from August).
For the new 2012 season, we have made changes to this pattern. If you study the calendar of public open days for the forthcoming 2012 season, you will see that we will no longer be open to the public on the Saturdays of any of the bank holiday weekends, but we will be open as usual on the bank holiday Mondays. In order to make up for those Saturdays lost, we have inserted additional Saturday public open days during June to October as well as opening on the last Saturday in the month!
The effect of these changes will be to provide a public open day on average every two to three weeks through the whole of the season from March to October. The total number of public open days will remain the same overall as in previous years.
